Here's a couple shots I just took of mine
It's running a Phenom x6 1055t overclocked to 3.5 ghz for daily use, 3.8 for when I need that little extra "omph". I haven't tried getting it to that magical 4.0 on this motherboard yet, but it was a failure on my old one.
It currently has 8gbs of Kingston 1600mhz RAM. A little bit low these days, but my RAM usage never comes close to even 4gbs. I just put 4 sticks in because it looks nice :D. The GPU is a 7950. I love the black PCB combined with the aluminium heat pipes. Can't really see it in this picture but it looks amazing. Once the prices drop on the 7950 I plan on adding another one. Just one for three monitors just doesn't cut it!

Shit!
You're so damn fast.
I was about to ask if this was a Nibby account.

Black PCB? Oooh, yeah I bet that looks nice. Your rig kicks the shit outta mine. I'm rocking a microATX eMachines mobo with an LGA775 Core2Duo, 2GB RAM, and a 5400RPM WD Caviar Blue from a laptop. The video card is an HD4650.
Well... it plays Skyrim. Sorta.

Nice! You have the exact same kit that I am using. I have a 1100T at 4.01Ghz, I can do 4.2 but the voltage is a bit excessive for the marginal speed increase. I also added a waterblock to my 6950 a couple months ago. Everything is great except the pump sometimes makes noise so I am hopefully upgrading it to a better unit soon.

Can your cpu handle two 7950s without bottlenecking? Our systems are opposites lol, especially compared to the one I picked up for my son at Christmas. $850, i7-3770, 32gigs 1600MHz ram, and a GTX 650. He will be getting a new card for his birthday. In case you think the ram is over kill... It was, but then I turned most of it into a ram drive to symbolically link his game data into... In other words, once it's booted it performs like a raided ssd setup.

Curse you and your unlocked multiplier...
Did you get the one with the massive radiator? Mine is an RX240.
The XSPC pump makes a lotttttttt of noise unless its thoroughly bled. Which I suppose is true of all pumps. But that's usually what the problem is when mine starts making noise. Give the chassis a few tips and I'm good to go

Yeah I find that in most games, my CPU isn't really bottle necking. With an eyefinity setup, crossfire really makes a difference.
I used to the RAM disk thing until I got an SSD. Though it would be temping to add more to do it again. Super fast+no flash memory degradation

ah you never know what you're missing until you hop on a decent system and turn on all the eye candy. From that moment on, you're hooked haha

Yup. Been drooling over people's modded Skyrim installs on /r/skyrim and it makes me pretty jealous when I've got everything on 'low' to get decent frames. Ah, well. The story is decent and the gameplay is fun enough. Graphics aren't everything ^_^

I've always loved computers and I'm upgrading my 2010 MB pro with an SSD soon, also building my first desktop for college this summer!

Brilliant! What kind of specs are you looking at?
I swapped out the optical drive in my sisters '10 MPB with a solid state drive. Couldn't have been easier. Now she has her OS and applications on the solid state, and her user account directory on the HDD

4670K, 16gb corsair vengeance, GTX 770, Gigabyte GA-Z87N-Wifi
It'll be dual boot Mavericks for everyday and multitasking and Windows 8 for gaming.

Nice, looks like you're going all out for your first build. As soon as I saw the motherboard, I knew it was an OSX build

Yea, overclocking with a locked multiplier is a hassle for sure.
Yes, I got the massive RX360. Totally overkill for what I need, but I wanted it anyway. Be useful in the future I suppose, if I get more hardware.
Glad to see im not alone with the pump noise. Sometimes mine is nice and quiet, but often it sort of rattles/buzzes. Like it has air stuck in the pump unit or something. I spent aaagggeeesss bleeding it. So about 60% of the time is is perfectly silent and happy then for no reason it just starts making noise. The whole combo pump/reservoir being horizontal is the problem, because the pump pickup is on the right side meaning you can only tip the case one way or it draws air, no matter ho full you fill the res.
Other than that though. I love watercooling, the most fun upgrade I have done so far. =D

Nice setup. My home tower is:
8 core AMD OC'd to 4.4ghz with liquid cooling.
16GB GSkill DDR1600
256GB SSD main drive
4TB RAID for mass storage
ATI 7870 OC'd
Lately I have been using my work laptop more than my desktop. It's a Razer Blade 14".

Thanks, it's a few years old now and just getting pieces replaced. Soon I will need to do a fresh build. The OC'd 7870 bought me some time when I yarded out the crossfire 6970's I had in there before (they were having issues and just not keeping up). I figure I will use it until I decide what the total new system will be.

I'm assuming the CPU is an FX 8xxx right? So you've got a good base setup, I'd say just crossfire the 7870 or look into an R9. Of course it all depends on what direction you wanna go in
